For over twenty years, Ron has worked as an illustrator and fine artist. His watercolor illustrations have appeared in hundreds of magazines, books, ads, brochures, greeting cards, consumer packaging, and outdoor billboards. He has done paintings for numerous magazines ranging from home and garden to health care, for a variety of brochures covering tropical island real estate to Manahattan condominiums, and for packaging on everything from chocolate boxes to computer hard drives. He has worked for publishers including The New York Times, The Hearst Corporation, Simon and Schuster, and Harper-Collins. Corporate clients include Chevron, Cisco, Disney, Hewlett Packard, Johnson & Johnson, Kimberly-Clark, Pepsi Cola, and Wyndham Hotels. As a lifelong resident, Ron has enjoyed the unpredictable beauty California has to offer. The rugged coast, the golden hills, the quiet hamlets; all have been his study, and his love. Through the dynamics of light and shadow, he captures the spirit unique to the area. Whether a building or automobile, still life or landscape, his subjects are not only imbued with light, but defined by it. His fine art paintings have been exhibited throughout California, with gallery representation in Laguna Beach, Santa Barbara, and the Central Valley. Ron lives in the idyllic community of Pleasanton, with his wife and two daughters. |
